Strengths: Seems to have a longer running time

The Versapack Gold 3.6v is a NiMH type battery and should give increased performance and longer running time, and longer life. My tool runs like new again, it was a few dollars more the the standard battery

Black & Decker Gold Battery does the job
Strengths: lasts longer than the orignal
Weakness: none
The new VersaPak Gold battery works as advertised. It holds more charge and lasts longer the orignal. I have not done any detailed testing, but it works through a whole day of heavy use. I still recommend using two alternately to maximize battery life.

have many items that use the batteries and needed to replace them and the charger " not about to replace all the tools"

Very Happy with the battery.
Battery in my old drill would not recharge any longer. I bought the new rechargeable battery for it and have been please with it and the easy instructions that came with it.
