Lots of power per $
This is a lot of generator for the price. The generator starts easily using the electric start, and a pull start is provided in case the battery is flat. With a 16HP engine it is not quiet, but it is no louder than my 6kw generator. The folding handles are somewhat disappointing, and can be bent at the pivot point rather easily. Build Quality issues, but seems to work fine.
Pros: Great price. 240 ac, 120 ac and 12 volt dc output. Cons: Arrived with several loose screws, making me worry about QA at the factory. Lots of rattling. Louder than advertised. Hooking up the battery is very hard. In spite of my quality concerns, this generator has performed well for its first 6 hours.

Looks good so far. Real load test to come.
I would have never bought a generator from Harbor Freight but this is the same generator that HF sells. (found out after I bought it) That being said, it looks great and I have ran it twice with a 1500 watt heat gun load just to test it. I am going to do and actual "outage test" and run most of my house next week.

Most competitors generators have covers for the receptables. This generator does not have receptable covers.
Have not used the generator. Battery negative cable difficult to connect, due to the location of the negative post. Top panel of the generator was caved in due to shipping. Once dent was hammered out, battery cable attached, oil and gas added, the generator started with ease. Home Depot Customer Service personnel were outstanding in assisting in the placement of my order.
